                           H.O.Y.E. Native Games

                           "Help Our Youth Excel"

March 22, 2008, 11 a.m. to evening feast (proceeded by a Women's Circle at 9:30 a.m.), 2165 Hwy. 99, Ashland (field next to Jackson Wellsprings)

We will be playing Stick Ball, a pan-Native game similar to lacrosse or hockey.  We invite you to form teams and come and learn the game in our weekly practices held every Sunday morning, 10 a.m. in Lithia Park (grassy area at the entrance of the park).

All tribes are welcome to bring other games to share and teach the community, including Hand Games, Moccasin Games, Hoop Games, NDN Tug-O-War and others.

GRAND PRIZE:  Custom set of Jima Sticks!

Team admission is $50 and donations are welcome!  Admission to the Games is FREE.  All proceeds will go to honoring our Elders held at the Elder/Youth Conference June 20-23 at EarthTeach Forest Park.

Native speaks, Whistling Elk Drum, Native vendors, prayer and feast will take place in and around the Games tournament.

Seeking sponsors.
