What is Human Lineage Traditions?

Human Lineage Traditions is the basis of all cultures; it is where we all came from, where it all began. It belongs to our past, is our present, joins our futures; it is the fabric of all nations. All people, all cultures, all ways of life had a starting point, a place in space and time where a small group of people came together to live, use any & all of there resources, abilities, capacities and adaptive nature to face the many unknowns that each day brings to us. Born from the ?roots of practicality?, traditions evolved, principles and methods were (and still are) developed that became ?the way things were done?, until evolution provided a better solution. With in this context is also what is known as ?timeless understandings?, ways or approaches to basic necessities of life that have stood the test of time, have remained with little or no change for long periods of existence. These timeless ways, become rules or guidelines among cultures and reflect the developmental process of evolution and the methods or ways of the area/culture that consistently ?produce the same results?. They are born from the evolutionary process of a particular culture and reflect a refinement process that is distilled through trial & error, time & effort, accidental finding, struggle/need and prayer. It comes from the recognition that life has many unknowns, that there are certain abilities/capacities that one must have to exist, that there are many things great & powerful in this world, that each moment is a gift, that any thing is possible as we are all part of creation, that life is given & life is taken, that paying attention and being aware at all times is important and that everything is in a state of change and we are merely passing through this life time for a brief moment. This is, in part, what it is to be a Human Being or a Spirit in Human form.

Lineage is a word that refers to time. It is a reference point, a marker that pays homage to ?those who came before us?, our ancestors, also our relatives, friends of influence, moments of reflection and observation & mentors. It is also about the struggles and difficulties, the blessings and learned ways, the natural Intelligence and evolution that allowed us to be here today. Lineage is also connected to our ability to utilize ?that which has been passed to us as timeless understandings?, so that each generation need not re-invent the wheel and is given a strong foundation to begin life with, a good chance at survival. The passing of Lineage is a reference to the present moment and the future, and is often given to the children initially through story telling, repetition in daily duties/actions and conscious daily experiential learning. Special attention is given to passing traditions as it ensures the strength and survival of the present & coming generations. It is also an expression of our love and care for each other and our greatest gift & joy; sharing and inter-action each other. We must acknowledge our animal side through our instinct to survive, the key word here being ?instinct?. Our need to ?pass on? is recognition of both our transient nature and the ?foreverness of our spirits?. We are forever learning, forever changing and exist in a limitless state. In some small way we are also sensing time as continuous and simultaneous.

Traditions are our gifts, the union of the ?Natural Intelligence? that each of us was born with, what links us & is the same about us and our ?Post-Birth? education, our experiential learning process. If these two are woven together, we become adaptive, whole, harmonious beings, capable and equal to creation itself. There are certain understandings that we share, that each of us is born with and needs no discussion or debate as to it truth. The common and basic knowledge that creation has imbued us with to begin our lives is not to be forgotten or cast aside for these basic learned experiences or more clever ever-changing bits of mere information. This not to say that experiential learning or ?post-birth education? does not have its place in our lives, but more to acknowledge the importance of knitting together what we are born with as natural knowing with experiential learning. If in the process of harmonizing these two aspects of growth, we find that they do not fit together well, we perhaps should review first, the post-birth education, as it is likely to be of greater suspect. In other words, that which we are ALL born with in understanding, perhaps, has greater merit that that which in part of experiential learning. What we may be saying is that there are things that belong to a state of continuous change and that there are ?constants? in this universe. The Traditions of our cultures are forever measuring this, restructuring and finding new points of balance that encompass deeper understandings, open heartedness & flexible evolving standards of our minds and spirits. This why Passing Human Lineage Traditions is said to be a Living Being. We are in a constant state of growth & evolution, utilizing change and the ?constants? with in the scope of our changing reality.

Lineage & Leadership

In the old way, the natural way of all things, with consideration, in appreciation & in connection to life, is provided a structure for Passing Human Lineage Traditions to refine a natural pathway towards leadership. Natural Intelligence & Selection was initially, based on your actions, the way you lived your life & your abilities; literally, the capacity to stay alive (gain age & accomplishment) and care for yourself and those around you. Strength, bravery, adaptability, common sense and the attention put to ?general species survival? was/is the proving ground of daily life. Those you lived with & in connection to, cultivated their attention & awareness just to stay alive; this was not considered a special attribute. Those who extended themselves for the greater good of the community, who excelled in intuition or ?knowing? and who carried themselves & their responsibilities in an exemplary fashion, became candidates for leadership. Every day of your life you were watched, your actions, speech, inter-actions and how you conducted yourself within the community and with regard to the unknowns of life, was a measure of your worthiness to lead. The proving ground was ?every day & in every way?. You could rise to great heights over time or for a great deed, or fall from grace slowly or in a moment of weakness. Every possibility existed in between these standards & so it was possible (as it is today) to re-make yourself or re-establish your position if you were/are willing to do so. The standards of ?Natural Leadership? were/are harsh, but somehow, still flexible.

We are all aware of alignment of Individuals or what is known as Politics in today?s world. This too has existed since the beginning and bares mention, as it is and always has been, a factor in Human Relations and group, community & global dynamics. Comparing the standards of the Natural selection of leaders to Political selection seems like a conversation hardly worth discussing except that we must admit that historically, we have suffered at the cause political mayhem and ?bad selection. Silent agreements with the ego or ?lower nature invitations? have been the mark of dark agendas. It would seem that many of our social, economic and spiritual ways of life, for that matter, the very fabric of our integrity and honorably spoken words, have been subverted for the wants of the few instead of the needs of the many. This is a very distasteful observation, our choice to be at the mercy of our collective weakness and the willingness to hallucinate the existence of group failure as a forgone conclusion to things we know better than to be or do. Still, all is not lost as nature always prevails, chaos must return to order even if it is only for a brief moment in time. Perhaps the ?lesson? here has to do with the development of group intention & continuous or extended attention. That, priorities must stay in a state of ?shared unbroken awareness? to clear the hurdles of ?lower nature? and fleeting dreams. We are in charge of the our outcome, in charge of our chosen destiny and we need to accept that responsibility, get up when we fall down, continue in the face of unknowns and face ourselves & the fear-trap thought forms that we carry and manifest regularly. Supporting one another and the realization that ?mistakes? or falling down is not a place to criticize or make a judgment, but a chance for difficulties to become opportunities and that great learning is being offered. Historically, some of the world?s greatest Leaders have been people who ?failed? in the eyes of many & many times over only to distill a ?higher learning? from there lack of fear to ?run the experiment? until the end result was discovered?. sometimes by accident! To sum this all up, we must allow ourselves to Listen, follow, make use of what is useful, discard what is not and allow our collective development to run the natural course of Discovery, Experimentation, Experience, Gained knowledge, Refinement, Wisdom, and back to Discovery. We know nothing, know everything, things change, and things stay the same? Why do we try to fit it into a box? Lineage is passed on and belongs to continuous evolution; learning without end?. True Leadership exists in a state of flux that passes through chaos & back to order, chaos, order, chaos?. always on the edge?
